What once sounded like sci-fi is now very real. Portal Systems, a Seattle-based space startup led by SpaceX’s former VP of Propulsion Jeff Thornburg, is building a solar-thermal spacecraft designed for long-range mobility. Supernova can travel from low Earth orbit to geostationary orbits in just hours — something no other vehicle can do or has ever done.
O0 was locked in to design and develop the entire digital presence, including NASA-grade renders, 3D animation and interactive content.

We’ve been in this orbit for a while, partnering with Steve Wozniak’s Privateer, Momentus, and Lúnasa Space. Portal Systems became one of our most ambitious projects yet, demanding precision, a deep grasp of astrodynamics, and new creative workflows.
Our design and production teams joined forces to deliver end-to-end execution:

The synthesis of detailed modeling, motion physics, and AI makes it possible to create near-real environments — from orbital platforms to low-gravity spaces.
Outer space is known to be cold, but we heated things up with interactive elements. Scroll-based animations transform the news section into a sleek, cinematic gallery. The contact page is also fun, you can nudge the satellite with a cursor. Give it a spin.
