When Akia, an AI-powered guest journey platform, first approached us as a Series A startup, they sought a playful, cozy visual identity. Two years later, they returned for a more mature, product-centric and data-driven digital presence. There’s nothing quite like watching a startup grow — in numbers, funding, and communication. Even better? Knowing you played a part in that journey. Let's rewind to where it all began.

Starting point

Two years ago, we created Akia’s first brand and website — a lively world inspired by 70s press ads and the soft, welcoming feel of early hotel design. It was all about the atmosphere behind. After raising $6M in Series A to scale their automation tech, Akia expanded its offering, and wanted to say it out loud. The brand needed to shift — from a breezy look and feel to something more confident and functional.

Process

In collaboration with Akia’s marketing team, we took a deep dive into their brand’s evolution. We revisited the first visual iteration and reassessed the approach. Then, O0’s team reimagined the design — moving from abstract illustrations to visuals that more accurately reflect the platform’s core features and real-world use cases.

Approach

The revamp now focuses on capturing the true essence of the platform. It’s enriched with analytics, social proof, and reviews. Each illustration now shows real-life situations that customers and guests face, highlighting how Akia helps both.

Outcome

Over six months, we created 30 new webpages to show how the product has grown. O0’s team built a more mature, product-centric, and data-driven digital experience — still wrapped in a cozy blanket we knit together back then.
