Task
You need a foundational brand identity for Kite AI, your new product, and a focused marketing website to support its launch window in late January to early February. Because Kite is positioned as a separate, consumer-facing product rather than an extension of Appsmith’s developer ecosystem, the brand has to stand on its own: simple, confident, credible, and flexible enough to grow after launch without locking the team into an identity that becomes a liability. The work must yield a cohesive visual language that can immediately support the website, early marketing assets, and future product communication.

On the web side, Kite requires a conversion-oriented landing page inspired by the clarity and product-first framing of Framer’s homepage. The site should center the product’s core action, show clear examples of what users can generate inside Kite, and communicate the value of a fast, AI-powered website builder aimed at non-technical users. Two supporting pages—a pricing page and an about page—will complete the initial build, using lightweight, modular structures that keep production fast while maintaining brand consistency. Development must optimize for speed, responsiveness, and stability rather than ornamental animations. The entire effort needs to be sequenced so brand and web progress in parallel without compromising quality.

Approach
The engagement begins with a concentrated brand sprint that runs for approximately three weeks. This stage focuses on understanding Kite’s audience, intended market position, and the emotional territory it needs to occupy. Through short interviews with your team and a rapid exploration of visual worlds, we define a clear directional north star before building any assets. As the direction solidifies, we begin constructing the core elements of the identity—logo explorations, color and type systems, layout logic, and a minimal set of components. The goal is to deliver a lean identity that is cohesive, expressive, and durable enough for launch, while still allowing for post-launch expansion as the product matures. Feedback loops are built into this phase so we can course-correct quickly and avoid long cycles of misalignment.

While the brand direction is taking shape, the web design process begins. The landing page is treated as the primary artifact, carrying the bulk of the storytelling and the highest expectations for polish. The design will follow a product-first philosophy: clean hierarchy, a central input interaction, strong examples of what Kite can generate, and a structure optimized for signups and comprehension rather than motion-heavy spectacle. As the lander comes together, work expands outward into the supporting pages, which adopt a lighter, more templated approach to keep the timeline efficient. The website will inherit the early brand assets as they are produced, allowing the two streams to develop in tandem.

Development proceeds once the core pages reach a stable design state. The build prioritizes performance, clarity, and predictable behavior across devices. In the final stretch, the team conducts QA across breakpoints and browsers, prepares assets for handover, and supports deployment to your preferred infrastructure. The result is a launch-ready brand and website that feel tightly aligned, coherent, and scalable.
